Insurifind

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This policy explains what information insurifind.com collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to this website only. It does not apply to insurance providers you reach by clicking a listing — once you leave our site, that company's own privacy policy governs.

1. The short version

We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or street address in order to show you provider listings. There is no quote form on this site. We may ask up to five optional multiple-choice questions — for example whether you currently have insurance, and your age range — to narrow the listings to providers more likely to be relevant to you. Every one of those questions is optional, nothing is pre-selected, and you can skip all of them. The only place you can give us information that identifies you is our contact form, and only if you choose to use it. We do not sell your personal information for money.

2. Information we collect

Collected automatically when you visit

  • IP address. We use it to determine which state you are in, so we can show listings relevant to you, and to filter out bots and non-US traffic. Your IP address and an approximate postal code derived from it are sent to our advertising marketplace partner as part of the request for listings.
  • Device and browser information, including your browser's user agent string, device type, and operating system.
  • Usage information: the pages you view, the links and listings you click, the position of the listing you clicked, how long you spend on a page, and the page you came from.
  • Campaign and referral parameters that appear in the URL when you arrive from an advertisement (for example utm_source, or our own ms1 through ms5 tracking parameters).
  • Cookie and analytics identifiers, subject to your cookie choices.

Collected only if you give it to us

If you answer any of the optional filter questions, we collect the answers you selected — for example "currently insured: yes" or "age 35-49" — and send them to our advertising marketplace partner so it can return more relevant listings. Those answers travel in the page's web address, are not stored on our servers, and are not linked to you. If you skip a question, nothing is sent for it.

If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject category, and message you submit, so that we can reply.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your Social Security number, driver's license number, date of birth, street address, vehicle identification details, medical information, financial account information, or precise geolocation. We do not ask for them and there is nowhere on the site to enter them. The optional filter questions use broad multiple-choice ranges only — never a free-text field, and never anything that identifies you.

3. How we use information

  • To show insurance provider listings that are available in your state.
  • To measure how the site and our advertising perform, including which listings are shown and clicked.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, invalid clicks, and abuse.
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the site.
  • To respond to you if you contact us.
  • To comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not use your information to build a marketing profile of you, and we do not send marketing email — we have no email list.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies. You can control the non-essential ones through the cookie banner or the "Cookie Preferences" link in our footer.

  • Strictly necessary — remembering your cookie choices, your selected state if you set one, and which version of the page layout you were shown. These cannot be turned off because the site cannot work correctly without them.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4, used to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Off until you accept. We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance. These are cookieless: they store nothing on your device and do not identify you, so they run regardless of your cookie choice.
  • Advertising — used to measure the performance of the advertising campaigns that bring visitors here. Off until you accept.

We support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat that as an instruction to opt out of any sharing of your information for advertising purposes, and we do not enable advertising cookies.

5. Who we share information with

We share limited information with a small number of service providers, each for a specific purpose:

  • Our insurance advertising marketplace partner. We send your IP address, user agent, state, approximate postal code, and any optional filter answers you chose to give, so it can return listings available to you. When you click a listing, a click identifier is passed to the marketplace and to the advertiser so the click can be attributed and paid.
  • Google Analytics 4, for aggregate site analytics, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Vercel, our hosting provider, for cookieless page-performance measurement.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure provider, which processes requests on our behalf.
  • Law enforcement or others where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on how your state's law defines "sale" and "sharing", some of the advertising-related activity described above may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time — see section 7.

6. Clicking a provider listing

When you click a listing you leave this site. We pass a click identifier to our marketplace partner so the click can be recorded and paid. Anything you do on the provider's own site — including any quote form you choose to fill out there — is governed by that provider's privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive the information you give them.

7. Your privacy rights

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to; request deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any); and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Other states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, including access, deletion, correction, portability, and opting out of targeted advertising. We honor these requests from residents of any US state.

How to make a request

Submit a request through our contact page, choosing "Privacy request (CCPA/CPRA)" as the subject, or email support@insurifind.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Because we do not hold accounts, we may need to ask you for information — such as the IP address you browsed from and the approximate date — to locate any records relating to you. We will only use what you give us to verify and respond to your request. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need an extension. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission, which we may ask to verify.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, do any one of the following:

  • Set your cookie preferences to reject advertising cookies, using the banner or the "Cookie Preferences" link in our footer.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honor it automatically and you do not need to do anything else.
  • Email support@insurifind.com with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line.

We will not discriminate against you in any way for opting out.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@insurifind.com and we will delete it.

10. Data retention

We keep server and analytics logs for no longer than 26 months. Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can handle follow-up correspondence, then deleted. We do not retain any other personal information, because we do not collect any.

11. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) across the whole site, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected there before they take effect.
